In a world where people are scared to talk to strangers, knock on their neighbour’s doors, dance, sing, speak their mind or express themselves in public (the very things that came naturally to us as children), isn’t it time we began breaking through these self limiting beliefs?
Born in Perth, Western Australia; the most isolated city in the world where ‘nothing ever happens’, it seems that things are now well and truly happening: what was once a small group of outcasts & dreamers has now become a global network of a hundred thousand strong; The Liberators International. Modern-day game changers, who’s revolutionary new social experiments are continuing to gain momentum, expand their horizons and win powerful new allies. Continue reading
The 2nd annual Eye Contact Experiment is exploding with people from all over the world rushing in to host and participate in what’s shaping up to be the biggest year yet! As I walked into Time Square NYC at 8pm on a Saturday night, surrounded by conflicting messages on bright billboards of what beauty is in our society, I couldn’t help but feel nervous for what was about to unfold. Thousands of people from all different ages, backgrounds and nationalities congregated, taking selfies in the iconic scenery of The Big Apple oblivious to what I was about to do.
Although I had spent hours predicting all the things that could go wrong with the Continue reading
It’s incredible to live a life that’s terrifying. For years I’ve intentionally been living in the living room of my parents house, pushing through the shadows of fear and doubt about where it was all leading. I knew deep down I had found my soul calling, my reason to serve humanity. But I’ll tell you, it’s incredibly hard to find your way in a world that’s trying to ensure you stay on the predictable path of expectation and endless accumulation of wealth, status and material possession.
I believe it’s difficult because we live in a distracted society, one that’s actively separating us from Continue reading

Bob Marley told us “every little thing gonna be alright” almost 40 years ago, and now we’re going to experience it again – global sing-a-long style. Marley’s hit song ‘Three Little Birds’ will take centre stage to create a sense of unity on public transport all around the globe on May 23 during the World’s Biggest Sing-a-Long. The Liberators International made headlines last year when they launched the world’s biggest eye contact experiment, with more than 100,000 participants from 161 cities taking part in the global event. We’d never attempted something of this size before, the social experiment was to see if we could inspire hundreds of strangers to dance like nobody was watching in public. We prepared a giant moving sound system as seen in this picture and rolled into the centre of town with turbo charged butterflies in our stomachs.
It was Friday night, shops were open late, work had just finished, high heels and work shoes clicked across the pavement as thousands of people hustled through the centre of town. We’d arranged Continue reading
Have you ever wondered what might happen if you handed out lyrics to a song everyone loves, then invited the public to sing it together with you on a Monday morning train, bus or boat? Can you imagine if the same song was sung in over 100 cities at the same time and was then compiled into a global video that weaved everyones voices into singing the same song together as one?
Well on Monday, the 23rd of May 2016 the entire world is set to find out. The World’s Biggest Sing For Good has officially launched over the weekend and is a global flashmob event designed to create harmony on Earth by connecting people in cities all over with a spontaneous good morning sing-a-long.
The last time The Liberators International hosted a global event like this it attracted over 100,000 participants to share a minutes eye contact with strangers in public spaces all over the world. This time, Continue reading
I took a number of risks in presenting this speech at TEDx Perth to over 1500 of Perth’s most influential people at the red carpeted Perth Concert Hall. Moments before jumping on stage I was supposed to be getting ready, rehearsing my speech but instead I was rallying troops backstage to surprise the entire audience flashmob style with a last minute concept I was sure was going to transform the speech into something worth talking about (Be sure to watch till the end if you want to find out what happens for a first time on TED!).
The speech itself is only 15 minutes long and takes a concise look at 3 of my most influential pieces of work and how they’ve gone on to effecting the world & myself personally. I dive into the idea of how my experiment trusting others in public has exploded into a global movement for peace, how dancing with others on a train changed my life forever & the way in which sharing eye contact in public allows for humans to participate in rebuilding our sense of peace on earth.
I am honoured to be running The Liberators International & look forward to sharing more great moments by cultivating global sense of community with you shortly.
