We’d never attempted something of this size before, the social experiment was to see if we could inspire hundreds of strangers to dance like nobody was watching in public. We prepared a giant moving sound system as seen in this picture and rolled into the centre of town with turbo charged butterflies in our stomachs.
It was Friday night, shops were open late, work had just finished, high heels and work shoes clicked across the pavement as thousands of people hustled through the centre of town. We’d arranged Continue reading
Have you ever wondered what might happen if you handed out lyrics to a song everyone loves, then invited the public to sing it together with you on a Monday morning train, bus or boat? Can you imagine if the same song was sung in over 100 cities at the same time and was then compiled into a global video that weaved everyones voices into singing the same song together as one?
Well on Monday, the 23rd of May 2016 the entire world is set to find out. The World’s Biggest Sing For Good has officially launched over the weekend and is a global flashmob event designed to create harmony on Earth by connecting people in cities all over with a spontaneous good morning sing-a-long.
The last time The Liberators International hosted a global event like this it attracted over 100,000 participants to share a minutes eye contact with strangers in public spaces all over the world. This time, Continue reading
I took a number of risks in presenting this speech at TEDx Perth to over 1500 of Perth’s most influential people at the red carpeted Perth Concert Hall. Moments before jumping on stage I was supposed to be getting ready, rehearsing my speech but instead I was rallying troops backstage to surprise the entire audience flashmob style with a last minute concept I was sure was going to transform the speech into something worth talking about (Be sure to watch till the end if you want to find out what happens for a first time on TED!).
The speech itself is only 15 minutes long and takes a concise look at 3 of my most influential pieces of work and how they’ve gone on to effecting the world & myself personally. I dive into the idea of how my experiment trusting others in public has exploded into a global movement for peace, how dancing with others on a train changed my life forever & the way in which sharing eye contact in public allows for humans to participate in rebuilding our sense of peace on earth.
I am honoured to be running The Liberators International & look forward to sharing more great moments by cultivating global sense of community with you shortly.
Today is Australia Day so I’ve created a personal story setting the intention for this beautiful festive occasion. If you’re here in Aus or living abroad I’d love to hear what intention you’d like to set for Australia Day. Wishing you all a full blown harmonious day on planet Earth!
A few months ago I got an unexpected email from a uni student Anna Bendz who asked if she could interview me for her media project. Little did I know she’d put so many of her own hours into creating a short documentary like this. Her team have crafted this beautiful piece of work to uncover a little more about my personal journey and how I ended up creating The Liberators International. I am honoured to have worked with such a professional group of people on my life journey. I deeply honour all the people who have helped me on this pathway through Liberation & Good Vibrations.
There is a peace that naturally forms between beings when we recognise ourselves in the other. War is not possible from this place. Just one minute can take you and I there. Just last month, over 100,000 people in 150 different cities tried it for themselves as a way to rebuild a sense of human connection in public. How? No words, no judgement, just one minute of eye contact.
Emotion Flowing in Mexico City
This is by far the most inspiring video we’ve ever been involved in and it’s been made possible thanks to YOU and the 100,000 other participants! We look forward to featuring your story with the people at TEDx Perth tomorrow night.
Feel free to share this video with your friends, family and people to spread this beautiful message with the world.
We’re so freaking excited about what’s going to happen on Thursday the 15th of October we’ve created an official video trailer with never before seen footage to share with you!
This video experiment flips the perspective on homelessness and invites the public to empathise. We setup right in the middle of the CBD and found the public reaction eye opening. What would you do?
So What Is Actually Happening?
Over 90,000 people from more than 115 cities have nominated themselves to simultaneously sit in an iconic plaza or square to share a minute’s eye contact with strangers on the 15th of October, 2015. Each city records their experience on video and then submits their footage to The Liberators International HQ, in Perth Australia to edit their actions into a global compilation video. This global event calls upon citizens of planet Earth to volunteer and decide to be a part of the reason the world changed.
Here’s the example Continue reading
